# Nubinex > Nubinex designs, builds and modernizes custom software: web and mobile apps, AI features, cloud infrastructure and legacy system migrations. Based in Toronto, Canada (Eastern Time), working with clients across North America and worldwide. Nubinex is a small engineering team that both advises and builds. Every project starts from a written scope, ships working software on staging every two weeks, and the client owns the code and repository from the first commit. ## Contact - Email: hello@nubinex.com - Phone: +1 437-313-5566 - Free 30-minute call with an engineer: https://nubinex.com/contact/ - We reply within one business day. ## Services - [AI consulting and integration](https://nubinex.com/services/ai-consulting/): We find the places where AI saves real time or money in your business, then build it into the tools your team already uses. - [Custom web application development](https://nubinex.com/services/web-development/): Customer portals, internal tools, dashboards and SaaS products, built to be fast, accessible and easy for the next developer to work on. - [Mobile app development](https://nubinex.com/services/mobile-apps/): iOS and Android apps from first design to App Store and Play Store release, usually from one shared codebase. - [Cloud and DevOps](https://nubinex.com/services/cloud-devops/): Secure, reproducible infrastructure on AWS, Google Cloud or Azure, with deployments your team can run on a Friday afternoon without worrying. - [Software engineering and team extension](https://nubinex.com/services/software-outsourcing/): Experienced engineers who join your team, work in your tools and process, and ship from the first week. - [Legacy software modernization](https://nubinex.com/services/legacy-modernization/): We move old systems to modern, supported platforms one piece at a time, so the business keeps running while the software underneath it changes. - [Custom and on-demand development](https://nubinex.com/services/custom-development/): The internal tools, integrations and automations that don’t fit a product box, built quickly and maintained properly. ## Work - [Moving a slow internal system to the cloud without downtime](https://nubinex.com/work/internal-system-cloud-migration/): An outdated internal application was slowing a whole team down. We modernized it and moved it to the cloud while people kept using it every day. ## How a project runs - Day 0: A 30-minute call. You tell us what’s broken or what you want to build. We ask about users, data, deadlines and what you have already tried. No slides. - A few days later: A written scope. A short document: what we’ll build, what we won’t, milestones, risks and an estimate. You can take it to anyone for a second opinion. - Within 48 hours of sign-off: Kickoff. Repository, staging environment and a shared channel are set up. You meet the engineers who will do the work. - Every two weeks: Sprints with a live demo. Working software on staging, not a status report. You can change priorities at every demo. - Launch: Release and handover. Production deploy, monitoring, documentation and a walkthrough for your team. - After: Support, if you want it. Monthly support and improvements, or a clean handover to your own developers. ## On every project - You own the code and the repository from the first commit. - Automated tests and CI on every project. - Standard tools, deployed to your cloud account. No lock-in. - We work in your cloud and code accounts, with access you control and can revoke. - We sign an NDA before any detailed conversation, if you want one. - Every migration or release step has a tested way back. - Documentation and access are handed over, so nothing depends on one person. ## Questions ### How do you price projects? After the first call we write a scope with an estimate. Defined projects are priced per milestone. Ongoing work and team extension are billed monthly. You see the number before anything starts. ### How long does a project take? You get a timeline in the written scope, before anything starts. Work ships in two-week sprints, so you see working software from the first one. A first version of a new product typically takes four to eight weeks; a large migration runs in stages over months. ### How quickly can you start? Kickoff is usually within 48 hours of signing off the scope. ### Who owns the code? You do. The repository lives in your account from day one and everything is handed over at the end. ### How do you handle access and security? We work inside your own cloud and code accounts, with access you grant and can revoke at any time. Every migration or release step has a tested way back, and documentation and access are handed over at the end, so nothing depends on one person. ### Will you sign an NDA? Yes, before the first detailed conversation if you prefer. ### Can you take over an existing codebase? Yes. We start with a short code and infrastructure review so we can tell you what is worth keeping before we change anything. ### Where are you, and when do you work? We work on Eastern Time with clients across North America, and overlap with European and Asian time zones when a project needs it. ## Pages - [Home](https://nubinex.com/) - [Services](https://nubinex.com/services/) - [Work](https://nubinex.com/work/) - [About](https://nubinex.com/about/) - [Contact](https://nubinex.com/contact/)
